This is the next generation of original hrGFP that fluoresces brighter in mammalian cells is less toxic than EGFP, making it easier to use for mammalian expression experiments. Since hrGFP is derived from a different organism than EGFP, the hrGFP antibody does not cross react with the Aequorea Victoria GFP variant-derived EGFP.
